Personal data that is submitted to VFF Pension, or that we receive in connection with signing of an insurance agreement or in connection with an insurance agreement, will be processed by VFF Pension and by companies with which we cooperate or which we hire. This is necessary so we can fulfil our obligations as per the insurance agreement, so we can contact you, and so that we can in all other respects meet our obligations as insurance providers.

Personal data may also be used for analysis and statistics purposes.

General Data Protection Regulation

The General Data Protection Regulation  aims to shield the individual’s personal integrity when personal data is handled (for instance when it is obtained, processed, stored or passed on). The Regulation means a stronger protection of your personal data and gives the insured party certain rights and it imposes certain obligations on us as insurance providers.

Information that VFF Pension obtain

We obtain information primarily from your employer, but also from you. We also obtain information from other sources, such as the Swedish Civil Registration Authority for up-to-date addresses.

Information that VFF Pension provide

We provide information about your insurance policies to minPension (where you can see your entire pension and make pension forecasts) and if you are employed by AB Volvo, Volvo Cars, VFF Pension or GKN, to each respective employer’s HR portal. We submit income statements to the Swedish Tax Authority relating to pensions that we have paid and your insurance transfers, if any. Upon request we also provide information to insurance intermediares, to brokers in possession of a power of attorney, to registered proxies, to legally appointed trustees and also to the Swedish Enforcement Agency, the Swedish Insurance Institute and the Social Insurance Institution in Finland. In addition, VFF Pension submits personal data to contractors/data protection officers hired by VFF Pension and who in their mission need them.

Data retention time

Personal data is retained for ten years after the final payment to the insured/beneficiary as per the insurance agreement, or for a longer time if this is necessary in order to deal with a claim submitted for insurance compensation.

Information that we send to you about your insurances

As the policyholder/recipient, you will receive information in the form of annual pension notices and if you have one or more insurance policies currently being paid out, you will also receive income statements. This information is provided via your personal page on VFF Pension’s website. If you want this information via snail-mail, please contact us by phone or email. In addition, you will receive a letter from us in connection with the payment of your pension.

Information to which you have access

Using your BankID, you can go to the VFF Pension website and log in to your personal page. It contains information about your insurance policies and your contact details, as well as pension notices, income statements and so on.

Information at your request

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to know what information we handle about you and the way it is used. You may therefore request – and obtain free of charge – a register record that you will usually receive within one month of submitting your request.

Amendments, erasure and supplements to information

If you feel that any information in our register is incorrect or that the information is too detailed or incomplete, you have the right to demand that we amend the relevant detail(s). In such a case, contact us and we will investigate what should apply so that any errors can be corrected.
